Toni Kan is the award-winning author of critically acclaimed works of fiction and poetry, including Songs
for Bar Beach, The Carnivorous City, Nights of the Creaking Bed, and When a Dream Lingers Too Long.
He has also ghost-written ten biographies. A fellow of the Heinrich Boll Writing Fellowship (Germany),
Civitella Ranieri Writing Fellowship (Italy), and Yaddo Writing Fellowship (USA). He is a 2021 recipient of
the Global Talent Visa in the Exceptional Talent Category. His awards include the Saro Wiwa/NDDC
Prose Prize, Prof. Wole Soyinka Award for Literature, MUSON Poetry Prize, Liberty Short Stories prize,
and Swiss Radio Essay Competition prize.
